Press statement regarding Egypt’s negative intervention in the war and the rejection of its role as mediator
The negative official role of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the war waged by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood and its support for the criminal group’s army “under the pretext and lie of preserving state institutions” is becoming clearer day by day and takes many forms; sometimes under the pretext of preserving state institutions, and at other times by rejecting any parallel entities and speaking falsely and deceitfully about preserving the unity of Sudan, which is the very essence of falsehood intended to convey truth. We are more concerned about the unity of Sudan than any other entity or country.
The current Egyptian regime has been supporting the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood army since the beginning of this war with equipment, weapons, and ammunition, as well as politically and diplomatically. The latest move by the Egyptian regime is to cooperate and coordinate with the army of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood in arresting Sudanese refugees in Egypt who have fled the hell of war, forcibly returning them to Sudan, mobilizing them, and forcing them to take up arms. and lying that the Sudanese have voluntarily returned to Khartoum after security has been established and services have been restored.
Egypt’s presence in any political initiative to end the war in Sudan has become undesirable and a major obstacle to various initiatives. The Egyptian government’s statements, which hide behind the term “militia” to describe the comrades in the Rapid Support Forces, reveal the collusion and true nature of Egypt’s official position.
The official Egyptian conspiracy to maintain control over Sudan, its political decisions, and its economic resources, and to tear apart its social fabric, is becoming clearer day by day, through collusion and cooperation with the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood regime, the dissolved National Congress Party, and their army and militias, as an extension of Egypt’s official history of stifling popular revolutions in Sudan and supporting all military options and coups throughout the history of the Sudanese people’s resistance to dictatorship, tyranny, and injustice.
The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) urges the members of the Quartet Initiative, which has been welcomed by all Sudanese entities, to review the status and membership of the Arab Republic of Egypt within the Quartet Initiative, in light of its clear bias and support for the terrorist army in the war.
Brotherly relations and friendship with the Egyptian people remain strong, as is the right of one neighbor to another, but the official position is rejected in its entirety.
The revolution continues. Dr. Alaa El-Din Awad Nuugd Official Spokesperson for the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) February 2, 2026
