TASIS alliance condemns army targeting of civilians in Sarf Amra and Al-Zurug with drones”

Nyala: Rhino – The Sudanese Founding Alliance condemned on Sunday the army’s targeting of civilians in Sarf Omra and Al-Zurg in North Darfur with drones, killing and injuring dozens of civilians and wounding others.

The alliance added in a statement: “The Sudan Founding Alliance condemns in the strongest terms the heinous crime committed today by the National Congress Party army and its allied militias, through their systematic targeting of innocent civilians in the markets of the areas of Sarf Omra and Al-Zurug in North Darfur, as well as targeting civilian figures in the city of El Geneina in West Darfur. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians and the injury of others, in a clear continuation of the policy of ethnic cleansing, terrorism, and intimidation practiced by the Islamic terrorist movement against our people who reject war and demand peace.

The statement said: “The use of the pretext of ‘rapid support incubators’ has become an obvious cover for the slaughter of innocent lives and a desperate attempt to stifle the desire for change and peace called for by the glorious December revolution.

These massacres confirm that there is no future for Sudan except with the demise of this dark and terrorist project. Our peoples have continued to suffer from these crimes as a result of the policies of Islamists and the forces of darkness and terrorism that have destroyed the homeland and toyed with the lives of civilians.

There is no escape from holding them accountable, sooner or later. The Sudan Founding Alliance (Tasaas) will continue, with unwavering determination, to work to uproot terrorism and tyranny and move towards establishing a new, free, and healthy Sudan that Sudanese men and women deserve.”
