Statement of Condemnation and Mourning from the Observatory

The Observatory strongly condemns the airstrike carried out by warplanes on the Al-Mazroob area, which resulted in the death of the Emir of the Al-Majanin Tribe, Mr. Suleiman Jaber Jumaa Sahl, along with several chiefs and dignitaries, during a meeting of the traditional administration.

This brutal attack represents a blatant violation of international and humanitarian laws that call for the protection of civilians. The Observatory urgently calls for immediate measures to protect civilians, to cease all attacks targeting innocent citizens, and to stop the destruction of infrastructure and public facilities.

Sudan has lost one of its distinguished leaders known for wisdom, peacebuilding, and social reconciliation. The Observatory extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the Al-Majanin Tribe, praying that God grants them mercy and gives their loved one’s patience and strength.
