This report contains many inaccuracies. We have seen the video of the mosque bombing, and first of all, there were no civilians present in that location; all those inside were soldiers and military personnel.
We have also observed other mosques in areas taken over by the Rapid Support Forces, where weapons, ammunition, and sniper positions were found, with nothing indicating that these were being used as places of worship.
The use of houses of worship, schools, or hospitals as military positions for concealment is a war crime and constitutes the exploitation of civilian facilities for military purposes.
El Fasher is under siege by the Rapid Support Forces, but there are safe exit routes for civilians and even for soldiers who lay down their arms. Dozens of soldiers surrender daily and are allowed to leave safely. In fact, thousands of civilians have already been evacuated from the city to safe camps outside it. Those who remain are either engaged in the fighting or are being used as human shields by the Sudanese army and its allied militias.
Just yesterday, a Syrian family was freed from the grip of the regime’s army. All of these videos are available and widely circulated on social media pages
