Nyala: Rhino – The Rapid Support Forces announced on Thursday that their air defense forces had shot down a Turkish-made Akinci drone in the skies over the Merching area in South Darfur.

In a statement, the Rapid Support Forces affirmed their full readiness to deal with any aggression or infiltration attempts by the army and the Islamic terrorist movement militias allied with it, who repeatedly seek to terrorize peaceful citizens and destabilize the region, according to the statement.

The statement continued: “Our forces continue their monitoring and vigilance in the field to protect cities and villages and the security of citizens and will not allow any threat to the safety of the homeland or the lives of innocent people.”
