Head of the Civil Democratic Alliance of Revolutionary Forces “Sumoud” Former Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok
Rhino: Agencies – A delegation from the Declaration of Principles Forces, led by Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, arrived in New York on Saturday to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meetings, amid intensive efforts to hold meetings with international officials and representatives of regional and international organizations, despite reports that the Burhan government had warned international organizations against meeting with the Declaration of Principles delegation.
The delegation’s agenda includes meetings with political officials and representatives of international and regional organizations, as part of an effort to mobilize international support for the civilian forces’ vision regarding ending the war and restoring the path to democratic civilian transition, as well as to foster a global understanding of the Sudanese crisis in its full context, thereby contributing to the unification of international efforts to resolve the crisis.
During its stay in New York, the delegation will discuss developments in the war and the humanitarian situation, with a focus on protecting civilians, ensuring aid access, and pushing for a humanitarian ceasefire that paves the way for an end to the war and a political process.
The delegation is scheduled to present the case of the Sudanese people, emphasizing the deteriorating humanitarian conditions and the suffering of Sudanese both inside and outside their country, as well as the need to reach at least a humanitarian ceasefire to ensure the protection of civilians and the delivery of humanitarian aid.
