Nyala: Raino – Late on Sunday night, Rapid Support Forces shot down a military drone of the type used by the army in the skies over Nyala. This is the second time that a drone of this type has been shot down in Nyala. On June 13, the Rapid Support Forces announced that they had shot down an Akıncı drone over the city “after it carried out indiscriminate bombing targeting residential neighborhoods, killing dozens of innocent civilians,” according to a statement by the Rapid Support Forces.

The Rapid Support Forces had shot down a drone of the same model on July 10 in the city of El Fasher in North Darfur state, after it carried out a series of repeated indiscriminate bombings targeting civilians in the areas of Zamzam, Al-Kuma, and Malit, including vital facilities such as hospitals, schools, and camps for displaced persons.
