Islamist groups in the West have been spreading fake pictures, claiming the Sudanese Armed Forces killed 40+ Colombian mercenaries when attacking the runway at Nyala Airport in South Darfur in Sudan just as an alleged private plane from the UAE carrying 40 Colombians was about to land on August 6th.
The Sudanese Armed Forces claim the UAE had brought in the foreign mercenaries to fight for the RSF troops engaged in a civil war against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
The journalist @AlhalabiFedaa has taken a closer look at how Muslim Brotherhood groups linked with SAF are spreading fake pictures, including pictures from Yemen to claim that a plane was actually shot down.
Part of the money used for the fake media operation was provided by Islamist organization’s collecting donations from Muslim communities in Western countries under the pretext of aiding impoverished Muslims, only to channel the funds into defaming operations against states and governments in the Middle, east and North Africa that oppose their jihadist, extremist ideology.
To date, the SAF and allied Muslim Brotherhood-linked authorities in Port Sudan have provided no real photos or documents confirming an attack on Nyala’s airport, nor evidence of the alleged Colombian soldiers or their bodies.
Instead, they have used pictures of civilian aircraft belonging to Yemenia Airways, bearing the company’s logo, with images from the recent airstrikes against Sana’a International Airport by the Israeli Air Force.
