RSF condemn demolition of Pentecostal church in East Nile

Khartoum: Rhino – The advisor to the commander of Rapid Support Forces, Ezzedine Al-Safi, condemned on Saturday the demolition of the Pentecostal church in East Nile by army forces. Al-Safi said in a post on the “X” platform: “I strongly condemn, with sadness and anger, the illegal demolition of the Pentecostal Church, a place of peace, prayer, and community in East Nile, Khartoum.”

He added: “Such an act is not only a violation of legal rights, but a direct attack on the principles of religious freedom and human dignity that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their allied extremists continue to deny with complete impunity.”

He continued: “Churches are not just buildings; they are homes of faith, hope, and healing for people who have suffered greatly in the war. Seeing the Sudanese Armed Forces demolish the church in defiance of justice and due process is a deeply disturbing reminder of the intolerance practiced by the Sudanese Armed Forces and Islamist extremists in Sudan.”

The advisor to the commander of Rapid Support Forces, Ezzedine Al-Safi, called on the international community to reject this illegal act and hold those responsible to account. I stand in solidarity with the affected church members and all those who believe in the right to worship freely and without fear.
