Omdurman: Rhino – Members of the Sudanese Armed Forces assassinated a young man named Hamid Nabil Hamid on Sunday evening in front of his home in the Al-Hatanah neighborhood of Omdurman.

Eyewitnesses said in press statements that while the victim was in front of his home, three armed men wearing Sudanese army uniforms attacked him and tried to take his mobile phone. When he refused to hand over the phone and resisted them, they shot him with live ammunition from an automatic rifle, which pierced his abdomen. He was taken to Al-Naw Hospital (Al-Naw) but he died.

The people of Al-Hatanah held the army leadership and the governor of Khartoum responsible for the security breakdown and demanded that the security forces be brought under control and an end be put to the killings, looting, oppression, and abuse of citizens.
