Power outages in northern sudan after Egypt fails to cover the state’s energy needs

Khartoum: Rhino – Informed sources revealed a weakness in the capacity of the electricity coming from the Arab Republic of Egypt, after the announcement of the electrical interconnection between the two countries.

The source said that the electricity covers less than 40% of the state’s needs, and was programmed for eight hours during the day, and lasted for only three days, after which it was completely cut off, and the competent authorities have not explained the reasons so far.

It is worth mentioning that electricity was cut off for nearly two months in the northern state after Marawi Dam transformers were targeted by a number of drones.
