Khartoum: Rhino – The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemned on Monday what it described as “brutal crimes and gross human rights violations” committed by the so-called “Joint Force”, which is made up of armed movements militias and Al-Baraa bin Malik Brigades allied with the army led by Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, during the bloody attack that took place in Al-Khoei area in West Kordofan State yesterday, Sunday, the RSF said in a statement.
The RSF added in a statement on Monday: “These militias carried out a barbaric criminal campaign, characterized by an appalling degree of violence and sadism, and deliberately killed dozens of civilians by slaughtering them after torturing them in brutal ways by beheading them and mutilating their bodies in a systematic racial genocide crime targeting innocent citizens. Documented testimonies and video footage reveal that these crimes were planned in advance in direct coordination with the army command, in an attempt to subjugate and terrorize local communities on an ethnic and political basis.” The RSF held the army and allied militias fully responsible for these massacres, called on the international community and international human rights organizations to document and condemn these acts, and called on free media outlets to expose these crimes to public opinion.
It added: “The continuation of violations under the cover of the “Joint Force” confirms beyond any doubt that what is happening in West Kordofan and other regions of Sudan is a campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide.”
