Al-Malha: Saleh Hiririn – Confirming what was reported by Rhino, the Rapid Support Forces announced today, Thursday, the liberation of Al-Malha area and the seizure of the entire camp, after violent battles between them and the Sudanese army and the movements loyal to it since the day before yesterday.

RSF broadcast videos from inside the city of Al-Malha, stating: ‘the RSF hero Soldiers liberate Al-Malha area in North Darfur state and take over the camp of the movements’ mercenaries and seize large quantities of weapons, ammunition and combat vehicles.’
Fierce battles between the army and allied movements, jihadist brigades and mobilisers have been taking place in the city of Al-Malha, North Darfur, since Tuesday, according to sources who spoke to Rhino.

The RSF said in a statement today that it was able to achieve a major victory over the armed movements allied with the army, and liberate the area of Al-Malha, North Darfur, including the main joint forces camp in the area, noting that it seized large quantities of combat vehicles, weapons and ammunition, which were used to destabilize the security of innocent citizens.

‘This great victory came after fierce confrontations in which our heroic troops demonstrated the highest levels of efficiency and courage, enabling them to rid the area of the mercenaries who were using it as a base to destabilize security and stability, as they were able to surround the enemy and deliver painful blows that led to its collapse and flight from the battlefield, leaving more than 380 dead,’ the statement said.

The liberation of al-Malha area and the elimination of mercenary movements put an end to the mercenaries attempts to implement the Islamic Movement’s intelligence plan, which aims to expand the scope of the war and carry out sabotage operations in the region,’ the statement said.

The statement continued: ‘The Rapid Support Forces are determined to end this war for the benefit of the Sudanese people and to fulfil their aspirations for freedom, justice and building Sudan on new and just foundations. We assure our people in North Darfur that our forces will remain ready to secure the region and provide protection for civilians, and will not allow any party to threaten peace and security.’
