Rhino: Agencies – The European Union has not invited Syria’s interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa to an international summit of Syria donors in Brussels on March 17 because the meeting will be held at “ministerial level,” a European Commission spokesman said on Wednesday.

A European official had told Reuters earlier in the day that Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani would attend the donor summit, which would be the first time Syria would be officially represented at the annual conference.
