Rhino: Agencies – The head of the civil administration in South Darfur state, Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, issued an emergency order to curfew the city of Nyala for a month, following the spread of security outbreaks in the city.
Last week, the city witnessed acts of looting and violence that claimed the lives of a number of citizens, including merchant Ahmed Dalwa.
The emergency order specified a number of caveats and prohibitions, including banning public and private gatherings of a tribal nature, and arresting people suspected of involvement in crimes related to violating the emergency law.
