Rhino: Agencies – Entire families were killed in Syria’s coastal region in sectarian violence during a military operation against militants loyal to former President Bashar al-Assad, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Tuesday.

Pressure has mounted on the Syrian government to conduct an investigation after reports of hundreds of civilians killed in villages predominantly populated by Assad’s Alawite sect.
