Rhino: Agencies – The value of Egypt’s imports of live meat during the past year decreased by 44% to about 40 million dollars compared to 72 million dollars in 2023, sources at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture confirmed to Al-Arabiya.
The sources explained that this is the lowest level of live meat imports recorded in Egypt historically. The number of imported heads fell to less than 100,000 heads compared to 180,000 heads in the previous year due to continued tensions in Sudan, the country that supplies the most meat to Egypt.
