Rhino: Agencies – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday called on the international community to stop the flow of arms to Sudan, warning of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the African continent.
Guterres’ call came during a special conference on the humanitarian situation in Sudan, which was held within the framework of the African Union summit in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. Guterres emphasized that the situation in Sudan requires urgent attention from the international community, as the continued armed conflict threatens the lives of millions.
During the conference, Guterres emphasized the importance of taking immediate action to protect civilians and ensure safe and unhindered humanitarian access.
