The Kanabi Conference condemns army air strikes on civilians in Nyala, South Darfur

Rhino: Agencies – The Kanabi Conference Center condemned on Tuesday the airstrikes carried out by the Sudanese army air force on the city of Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, with explosive barrels, which led to the death of more than 32 civilians and dozens of wounded, and stressed the need to preserve the lives of civilians, pointing out that “the continuation of such actions will only lead to more suffering and displacement, and exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the country.”

In a statement on Tuesday, the Kanabi Central Committee called on all warring parties to respect international humanitarian law and protect civilians, calling for the immediate cessation of military operations in densely populated areas.

It called on international organizations and concerned parties to intervene urgently “to stop these tragedies and provide urgent humanitarian aid to those affected.”
