Rhino: Agencies – The Secretary-General of the Kanabi Congress, Dr. Dr. Jaafar Mohamedin Abdeen stressed their lack of confidence in the fact-finding committee formed by Army Commander-in-Chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, following the violations suffered by the residents of Al-Kanabi in Gezira State.

Mohamedin called for the matter to be entrusted to an impartial international fact-finding committee, in order to do justice to the victims who were subjected to violations after the “army” entered the city of Wad Medani, including crimes including identity killings, mass executions and displacement, describing what happened as racial revenge, indicating that Burhan cannot be both the judge and the executioner.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Democratic Observatory for Transparency and Rights, Mr. Tariq Hussein, revealed that some of those who were with the glorious December Revolution have turned into mouthpieces that speak in a banal voice against the residents of Kanabi, and promote the Kanabi conference as being with the Rapid Support, describing the matter as unfortunate. He explained that the residents of Al-Kanabi are now in the open, and they need urgent support and advocacy by local and international organizations.
