Khartoum: Rhino – The Sudanese Resistance Committees Coordination expressed their outrage and strong condemnation towards the actions of some members of the Al-Baraa bin Malik militia affiliated to the Islamic Movement and supporting the armed forces, after a video clip circulated showing members of the brigade mocking a mural symbolizing the martyrs of the glorious December Revolution.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Karri Resistance Committees said: “We watched with great regret and anger as members of the Baraa bin Malik Brigade mocked the glorious December Revolution and challenged its principles, targeting the symbolism of the revolution’s martyrs who represent dignity and courage.”

The statement emphasized that “such actions will not touch the greatness of the Sudanese revolution, which broke the shackles of tyranny and proved to the world the will of the Sudanese people in the face of oppression and suppression.”

The Resistance Committees pointed out that “the Sudanese revolution was not a fleeting moment, but a historical legacy created by the people with their solid will in the face of the forces that aimed to dismantle the armed forces and use the militias as a repressive tool.”

The Resistance Committees concluded their statement by renewing their pledge to the Sudanese people and their martyrs, stressing that they will continue the struggle to achieve the revolution’s slogans of freedom, peace and justice.
