Sudanese army completely destroys Al-Jeili refinery after air strikes burned the remaining facilities

Khartoum: Rhino – The Sudanese army’s warplanes completely destroyed the Al-Geili oil refinery after targeting it with intensive airstrikes this morning, with barrel bombs, and burned the remaining facilities.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemned the attack in a statement on Thursday, stressing that the continuous aerial bombardments on the refinery, the latest of which led to its destruction, constitute a full-fledged war crime, adding: “It is inseparable from the crimes committed by the terrorist Islamic Movement Army since the beginning of the war.

In condemning these barbaric acts, we call on international organizations to play their role in documenting these crimes and bringing the perpetrators to justice. We also call on free and impartial media outlets to reflect these practices to the world so that it can learn the truth about the terrorist Islamic Movement Army.

The statement continued: “The RSF is determined to continue the struggle to liberate Sudan from the grip of the extremist Islamic Movement and to work with our people to rebuild the Sudanese state on new and just foundations that lift injustice and marginalization from all Sudanese peoples.
