Juba: Rhino – The Vice Chairman of the Sovereignty Council in the Port Sudan government, Malik Agar, arrived on Sunday in the South Sudanese capital Juba on a working visit, where he was welcomed by South Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mandy Simaya Kumba.
The Port Sudan delegation accompanying Agar is scheduled to hold talks with senior officials of the Republic of South Sudan during the visit, reflecting the two countries’ continued commitment to dialogue, cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations, according to the South Sudanese Foreign Ministry.
The Port Sudan government is facing a severe economic crisis following several economic decisions taken by the UAE government against Port Sudan related to aviation, maritime transportation and gold export, as well as a diplomatic crisis as a number of its ambassadors abroad sought asylum in host countries to avoid returning to the country.
