Rhino: Agencies – The National Umma Party on Sunday called on the leadership of the armed forces to spare unarmed citizens who were unable to leave their areas from abuses.

In a press statement on Sunday, the party recalled what happened in ombada neighborhood recently and before that in the center of Omdurman, the neighborhoods of Halfaya and the villages of Sennar State and Sinja, which were massacres committed by the Baraa bin Malik militia and soldiers of the army, saying that they are the best evidence of the seriousness of the fears.

The party stressed the need for the leadership of the armed forces to issue strict orders that preserve the dignity and security of citizens from any retaliatory practices, adding: “It is enough for the citizens of Jazira to suffer.”
