Rhino: Agencies – Barcelona players are planning to make a big fuss if Dani Olmo and Pau Victor are not registered, according to press reports on Thursday.
According to TV3, a number of Barcelona stars have threatened to withdraw from their international duties with the Spanish national team if the players are not registered.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Council of Sport granted Barcelona’s request to register its players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor “on a temporary basis”, until the appeal filed by Barça is finally decided.
According to the report, Lamin Yamal, Javi, Pedri, Pau Cobarsi, Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado were preparing to miss the national team in March, when Spain faces the Netherlands in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Nations League.
The players were planning to claim minor injuries to avoid joining the Spanish national team, in solidarity with their teammates. La Liga has banned Barcelona from registering Olmo and Victor from January, as they have not met the financial conditions due to the economic crisis that has recently hit the Catalan club.
