15 killed and dozens wounded among civilians as army targets Al-Da’ein and Kauda with drones

East Darfur: Rhino – An army drone carried out an attack yesterday, Tuesday, targeting a house located on a main road in one of the neighborhoods of El Daein in East Darfur State, which housed a viewing club and a grocery store, resulting in the deaths of 15 civilians and injuries to dozens more.

In a separate attack, army drones targeted the headquarters of a humanitarian organization in the city of Kauda in the Nuba Mountains region of South Kordofan on Tuesday, destroying a vehicle belonging to the Internal Security Forces and another civilian vehicle.

The Sudan Founding Coalition condemned the incident and described the army’s continued targeting of civilians and service facilities as a clear violation of international humanitarian law.

The coalition added in a statement: “These terrorist attacks reflect the Muslim Brotherhood’s determination to spread chaos, disrupt humanitarian work, and terrorize civilians, but they will not undermine the will of our people and their forces striving to build a new Sudan based on the foundations of freedom, peace, and justice.”

The coalition called on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn what it described as the terrorist group’s behavior in Port Sudan, to document its crimes, and to work to hold it accountable and ensure it does not escape punishment.
