Omdurman: Rhino – The family of 40-year-old citizen Hafez Osman announced his death under torture on Thursday, after he was arrested by an extremist Islamist militia allied with the Sudanese army, according to an obituary statement published by his family on social media.
According to the statement, the citizen “Hafez Osman Ibrahim Khair”, a resident of Omdurman Al-Fath 2, who was arrested by the “extremist, criminal and terrorist militias of the Kaizan,” was an imam of a mosque, who was falsely accused – because of his tribal affiliation – of cooperating with the RSF, and was arrested before blackmailing his family financially, after the Brotherhood militia deluded them that he could be released.
Hafez’s body was identified at Al-Naw Hospital in Al-Thawra neighborhood, with signs of torture on his body, before the militia disposed of his body without informing his family.
The family said in a statement that Hafez Othman Ibrahim Khair, 40 years old, was married and had six children, and was a Quranic scholar and imam of a mosque, adding: “We ask God to never give victory to the supporters of terrorism. May Allah show us the day of vengeance on them as you did on the people of Adad and Thamud, O Lord of the Worlds”.
