Rhino: Agencies – Barcelona fans around the world are expecting good news from the club regarding the football team in the next few hours. Over the past few days, it has been strongly rumored that Barcelona has reached an agreement with Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo to stay.
Araujo had received an offer from Juventus in January, but Barcelona insisted on keeping him, especially after the injury of Spaniard Inigo Martinez.
Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the European transfer market, confirmed via his Facebook account that Araujo has been given the green light to sign new contracts, which will take place tomorrow, Thursday.
“Araujo’s new contract with Barcelona will be valid until June 2031,” he added. Romano concluded: “Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, got the green light from the player and his representatives.”
