RSF: We are open to forming a government to fill the current vacuum

Nairobi: Rhino – Brigadier General Omar Hamdan, head of the RSF negotiating delegation, said on Monday that their options are open to forming a government in light of the vacuum, the humanitarian situation and the issues of identity papers and communications, adding: “The Coordination (Progress) is a peaceful civilian grouping that we meet with them on the principles of democratic transformation.

In a press conference held by the RSF negotiating delegation in the Kenyan capital Nairobi on Monday, Hamdan said that the advocates of continuing the war only listen to the language of the gun and we do not reject peace if there are real initiatives, pointing out that 90% of non-commissioned officers and soldiers are from the margins, while the leading ranks of the army are from specific regions, and that the “Islamists” use it as a big stick to bring the people to their knees.

On relations with Egypt, Hamdan said: “We have no enmity with the Egyptian people, but we refuse to interfere in Sudanese affairs. Al Sisi government rejects the Brotherhood in Egypt and supports them in Sudan because it wants it to be a backyard, we seek good neighborly relations and do not mind dealing with Egypt if it refrains from playing negative roles.

For his part, the official spokesperson for the RSF negotiating delegation, Maulana Mohamed al-Mukhtar, said that the decision to change the currency from the Port Sudan gang is part of a plan to divide Sudan.

“We don’t mind using the dollar and the old currency in the areas controlled by our forces,” he said.

Al-Mukhtar pointed out that about 15 15 million Sudanese have been displaced by the war. 30 million Sudanese are at risk of starvation as a result of the use of humanitarian aid as a weapon against civilians

“Al-Burhan is condemning Sudanese in areas controlled by our forces to starve to death. The RSF is working with the international community to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid. We sought to open border crossings for the entry of humanitarian aid, but the army still insists on starving Sudanese).

“The army’s warplanes claimed the lives of 2873 civilians during October and November, destroyed 4321 houses during October and November, left 2928 wounded, and used toxic and internationally banned bombs,” he said.

He continued: “Our forces dealt with the events in the east of the island with professionalism to thwart the military intelligence plan of the army with the help of Kickel. The military intelligence and Kikel’s plan was to carry out the largest number of violations in the east of the island by arming civilians.”

He criticized the opening of prosecutor’s offices in Egypt as an illegal measure. He also criticized the alien faces law in army-controlled areas, saying that it targeted citizens of Darfur, the Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile. “The situation is stable in Al-Hilaliya, and we call for quick intervention by UN agencies in the area, and we also call on humanitarian organizations to reach RSF-controlled areas,” he added, noting that the migration of citizens from RSF-controlled areas in Al-Jazeera is due to the bombardment of the Burhan militia’s air force. We have arrested hundreds of infiltrators carrying out Kickel’s plan to commit violations on the island. We have not detected sexual violations in RSF-controlled areas.
