Rhino: Agencies – Anwar Gargash, advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, said that the New York Times report on the UAE’s position on the war in Sudan contains “baseless allegations,” noting that UAE leaders communicated with Generals Burhan and Hamidti, mostly at the request of the UN Special Representative, to prevent a slide into war. “We will continue to communicate with anyone who can help end the brutal civil war in Sudan quickly.”
Gargash wrote in a post on X yesterday that the newspaper report repeats many old and baseless allegations about the UAE and its leadership.
