Rhino: Agencies – UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday condemned the continued loss of life in the ongoing war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip and urged both sides to return to the negotiating table, conclude a ceasefire agreement and release hostages, UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said.
“He (Guterres) also reiterates the need to ensure the protection of civilians and unhindered and safe humanitarian access to and throughout Gaza,” Haq added.
