Rhino: Agencies – Juventus defender Nicolo Savona is delighted to join the Italian national team for the first time, under coach Luciano Spalletti. Savona, 21, said in statements quoted by Football Italia: “I’m proud to wear the national team shirt. “I was at home; I couldn’t believe it. I was very happy.” Juventus won the derby, beating neighboring Torino (2-0) on Saturday, in the 12th round of the Serie A.

Savona said: “I feel good on the pitch, we’ve won two games in a row, without conceding any goals. “It was my first derby, and it was a great feeling,” Savona said. “We’ve improved in terms of style of play and maturity. Our coach (Thiago Motta) demands a different style, and it takes time to understand all the mechanisms. It’s a long way to go, but we will improve game by game.”
