The RSF warned of the consequences of targeting civilians on ethnic and regional grounds, and the consequent stirring of hatred and tensions between Sudanese communities, calling on the international community to take urgent action to condemn what it described as “criminal acts” and assume its responsibilities, “as a basic step to protect civilians from indiscriminate attacks that target their lives and sources of livelihood.” The RSF called on international human rights organizations, including the United Nations, to take legal and moral responsibility for these crimes, and to work to bring those responsible to justice.
She called on international human rights organizations, including the United Nations, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities towards these crimes, to work to bring those responsible to justice, and to form an international committee to investigate the crimes of genocide through the warplanes of the Burhan militia in Darfur, stressing their commitment to moving forward, “until the country is rid of the domination of the old state and the terrorist Islamic movement, and to rebuild the Sudanese state on new and just foundations”.
