Khartoum: Raino – Musad Pauls, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Arab and African Affairs, said that the airstrike carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces on the Al-Deain Teaching Hospital in East Darfur State, which killed at least 64 people and injured nearly 100 others, was a horrific act.
Paul added in a post on (X) platform today: “This vital hospital is now rendered inoperable, depriving innocent civilians of life-saving medical care. Since April 2023, more than 2,000 people have been killed in over 200 attacks on medical facilities—facilities that should never be targeted. The violence must stop on both sides; they must agree to a humanitarian ceasefire to end the suffering of the Sudanese people and allow the wounded to recover in peace and safety).
