Rhino:Agencies – The “Women Against Injustice” campaign announced today, Wednesday, that it has adopted new means and methods to oppose the arming of civilians in Sudan, as part of a wide campaign aimed at stopping the provision of weapons to citizens by the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces in areas witnessing conflicts.
The campaign was launched in January, denouncing the practice of arming citizens and rejecting mobilization policies, especially in states under the control of the military.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness among citizens about the risks associated with the proliferation of weapons, especially since weapons often arrive in unregulated and indiscriminate ways, which increases the likelihood of continued conflict and the number of civilian casualties.
