Reopening of the kidney dialysis center in Al-Dhein after it was destroyed by an airstrike

Rhino: Agencies – In Al-Daein city, the capital of East Darfur state, a dialysis center was inaugurated inside the teaching hospital after it was maintained and rehabilitated with the partnership and support of Elite.

The dialysis center was destroyed and out of service after it was bombed by the Sudanese army’s warplanes in August last year, destroying all the dialysis machines.

According to the state’s Ministry of Health, the center was inaugurated on Tuesday in the presence of the Director of the Executive Department of the Ministry of Health, Al-Azraq, Hassan Hamida, and the Director of the Dialysis Centre, Dr. Amani Sighiroun.

The center covers the states of Darfur and Kordofan, and after being out of service for seven months, a number of patients died.

The center was inaugurated with the support and funding of the EAT organization operating in the state, which contributes to filling a large gap for dialysis patients and reducing the cost of treatment outside the state.
