Rhino: Agencies – Lebanon’s Hezbollah group said on Saturday it launched a drone attack on Israel’s Tel Nof airbase south of Tel Aviv and also targeted an intelligence base in the northern Israeli city of Safed with a barrage of rockets.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah erupted a year ago when the militant group began firing rockets into northern Israel in support of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) at the start of the war on Gaza.

The conflict has escalated in recent weeks, with Israel bombing southern Lebanon, Beirut’s southern suburbs and the Bekaa Valley, killing several senior Hezbollah commanders. Israeli ground troops also crossed the border into Lebanon.

Hezbollah in turn began launching rocket attacks farther into Israel.
