Rhino: Agencies – The White House said on Wednesday that the United States has informed Israel of its opposition to near-daily strikes in densely populated areas of Beirut, and the need for it to conduct its operations in a way that does not threaten civilian lives.
Spokeswoman Karen Jean-Pierre’s remarks came at a daily press briefing, as Israeli strikes on Beirut continued.
On Tuesday, the U.S. State Department also expressed its opposition to the Israeli strikes.
