Rhino: Agencies – The English Football Association announced, in an official statement, the appointment of German Thomas Tuchel as head coach of the Three Lions. The statement explained that Tuchel will take over the England national team from January 2025, replacing interim coach Lee Carsley. He added: “Tuchel will be assisted in his new mission, English coach Anthony Parry.”

The federation indicated in its statement that the agreement with the German coach was completed since last week, as the 51-year-old signed his contract on October 8, and the official announcement was postponed until after the end of the international break, so as not to distract the players. According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, Tuchel will receive an annual salary of about 6 million pounds sterling. Tuchel’s work with the Three Lions will continue until the end of the team’s World Cup 2026 campaign.

Meanwhile, Carsley will continue as England’s interim coach until the end of the year, with two UEFA Nations League fixtures against Greece and Ireland next month.
