Rhino: The authorities in the Chadian city of Asanga decided to deport Sudanese refugees in the temporary camp of Adré to the Wadki camp 200 kilometers from the city, amid the refugees’ rejection of the deportation measures.
The Chadian authorities had pushed three options for Sudanese refugees inside the city of Adré, which were limited to deporting them to the “Dougui” camp, returning them to their areas from which they fled in Sudan, or informing foreign organizations to deport them to another country.
Sources told “Darfur24” that the authorities in Asanga decided to start deporting the Sudanese refugees inside the city of Adré to Dougui camp starting Monday.
The sources indicated that the Chadian authorities informed the elders of the camp of the deportation order, indicating that the elders emphasized their rejection of the decision, which puts the lives of thousands of them at risk, according to their description.
The sources revealed that the camp leaders formed a committee to meet with the Chadian authorities in an attempt to dissuade them from implementing the decision at this time, as their children are preparing for the Sudanese certificate exams scheduled for December.
