Rhino: Agencies – Portugal coach Roberto Martinez decided to exclude three players from the list that prepares to face Poland on Saturday evening, in the third round of the UEFA Nations League.
The Portuguese newspaper “Abola” reported that Martinez summoned 26 players for the Nations League matches against Poland and Scotland, while only 23 players were able to be present for the match.
She explained that the Spanish coach decided to dispense with the services of 3 players, namely Juventus winger Francisco Conceição, Benfica defender Tomas Aruajo, and Bayern Munich midfielder João Ballinha.
She continued that Martinez’s decision to exclude Conceição came because he requires a recovery plan that requires a longer rest, while the Bavarian player’s exclusion came because his form at the beginning of this season did not live up to expectations, given his lack of participation in Bayern.
