Army mobilizers arrest nine Christians in Shendi, River Nile State

Rhino: Agencies – Military sources said that army mobilizers in the northern Sudanese city of Shendi arrested nine Christians, including two children, before handing them over to the military intelligence in the 3rd Infantry Division.

The Darfur24 news website quoted the sources as saying that a number of families consisting of 17 people from the Church of Christ came from the Al-Izba area in Khartoum Bahri to Shendi to escape the war, where 9 of them were arrested.

She reported that the mobilizers tortured and brutalized the detainees, insulting them with racist terms, before handing them over to military intelligence.
Sudanese military intelligence arrested 17 Nuba Christians in three batches between October 2 and 7, all from the Ezba area in Khartoum Bahri, on charges of collaborating with the RSF.

According to the sources, the military intelligence in the third division in Shendi refused on Saturday morning to a delegation of church pastors in Shendi to meet with the detainees and refused to release and treat a missionary who suffers from diabetes and was injured by a shell that fell in his house.
