Former Prime Minister and head of the Sumoud Alliance, Abdullah Hamdok, confirmed that his current visit to Europe aims primarily to rally international support to end the war in Sudan and bring the suffering of its citizens to the forefront of global attention, amid what he described as a decline in international interest and Sudan becoming one of the forgotten crises, despite being the largest humanitarian crisis in the world today.

In an interview with Radio Dabanga during his visit to the Netherlands, Hamdok said that the coalition began its European tour in France and included the Netherlands, Norway, and Germany, concluding in the United Kingdom.

He explained that the meetings included officials, research institutions, media outlets, and civil society organizations, with the aim of conveying the voices of Sudanese people facing displacement, asylum, and loss of shelter, food, education, and health.
