Manchester City survive Fulham’s trap

Rhino: Agencies – Manchester City regained the tone of victories that were absent in the last two rounds, by beating Fulham (3-2) on Saturday, in the meeting held at the Etihad Stadium, within the seventh round of the Premier League matches. Mateo Kovacic and Jeremy Duco scored in the 32nd, 47th and 82nd minutes. 82, while Fulham’s brace was scored by Andreas Pereira and Rodrigo Muniz in the 26th and 89th minutes.
With that result, Manchester City raised its score to 17 points in second place, while Fulham’s score froze at 11 points in sixth place.
Fulham opened the scoring in the 27th minute, after Raul Jimenez sent a beautiful heel pass inside the area, beating the entire City defense, and Pereira followed it up with a direct shot from inside the box and into the net.
Man City were punished in the 32nd minute when Kovacic’s shot from inside the area hit the Fulham defense and deflected into the back of the net.
Substitute Duco killed the game by adding the third goal in the 82nd minute, with a rocket from the edge of the area that found the back of the net.
Fulham reduced the score again through Moniz in the 88th minute, after he received an uncontrolled cross inside the area, to easily shoot into the net, to end the match with a 3-2 victory for City.
