Port Sudan government frees Hamas assets in its banks and a deal for the movement’s exit to Sudan

Rhino: Agencies – Among the ideas put forward for a ceasefire in Gaza, Hamas received an offer of a deal approved by Israel, some of which include the possibility of a ceasefire and the withdrawal of the occupation from the Strip, in exchange for the movement’s exit from Gaza to Sudan. As the first anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which launched the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, is approaching.

The Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Jarida” quoted an informed source on Thursday as saying that there are new ideas circulating for a ceasefire, according to which Hamas leaders and all its fighters will leave Gaza safely to Sudan.

The source said that one of the ideas proposes the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza and the completion of a prisoner exchange deal, with the Palestinian Authority taking over the administration of the Strip, in exchange for Hamas’ exit through the Rafah crossing to Egypt, and then to Sudan, where the movement would receive financial and political gains. He pointed out that this proposal was well received by the parties concerned with stopping the war, which is approaching the end of its first year, in efforts to achieve the exchange deal between the two sides, indicating that Israel agreed to the proposal and was conveyed to the movement by a Gulf mediator with the support of an Arab country.

According to the source, the Sudanese army agreed to host all Hamas leaders and fighters on its territory, while releasing their funds held in Sudanese banks and handing over all real estate, funds and the television station owned by the movement in Khartoum during the rule of ousted President Omar al-Bashir.

He explained that the mediators are working to convince Hamas and Israel of the rest of the details of the proposed deal, indicating that its basis will be the initiative of US President Joe Biden. He pointed out that the idea was born after the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah and his leaders, the state of confusion and confusion in the region, and the diversion of attention to the north and the war in Lebanon, considering that this matter may make it easier for Hamas leaders to accept the proposal and leave Gaza, with the Palestinian Authority handing over humanitarian and civil affairs there under the auspices of Egypt in the first phase.
