Rhino: Agencies – White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said he had no knowledge of whether Israel notified the United States before carrying out strikes in Beirut on Friday, strongly urging Americans to avoid traveling to Lebanon or to leave if they are already there.
Speaking to reporters, Kirby added that he could not comment on the latest wave of strikes but reiterated that US President Joe Biden’s administration is seeking to avoid escalation in the region.
