RSF renews its commitment to deliver humanitarian aid in solidarity with famine victims

Khartoum: Rhino – The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Tuesday reaffirmed its full commitment to delivering humanitarian aid, in solidarity with the victims of the famine that affected millions of Sudanese as a result of the war.

The RSF added in a statement on Tuesday: “The war that was ignited by elements of the old regime using the kidnapped army and mercenaries from the Darfur movements, such as ‘Minni Arko Minawi’, came to continue plundering the country’s resources and dominating the necks of the Sudanese people.

The statement said: “We have noticed during the past period that the mercenary Minawi kept repeating lies and empty allegations about the looting of humanitarian aid and convoys; to cover up the defeats suffered by his mercenaries and those he threw into the war of the Islamic Movement, which aims to restore its abominable rule.

The statement continued: “The truth that everyone knows is that Minawi is the biggest thief of the money of the hungry and the diversion of aid to his mercenary forces, and there are still quantities of humanitarian aid provided to the Sudanese people piled up in his warehouses, while some of his mercenaries appeared wearing bulletproof vests bearing the logos of the United Nations, which he is crying to. Minawi and his ilk do not deserve to speak on behalf of the people of Darfur, as he is the one who caused their suffering by aligning himself with the Islamic movement that ignited the war, and publicly announcing that he will fight our forces, so he should bear the consequences of his crimes and stop screaming and wailing and wait for his inevitable fate.

The RSF said it is working side by side with humanitarian organizations to facilitate the delivery of aid to beneficiaries. While mercenaries like Minawi incite his executioners to bombard safe cities and towns with incendiary barrels, killing innocent women and children.”
