Rhino: Agencies – The Netherlands and Germany were held to a 2-2 draw at the Johan Cruyff Stadium in the second round of the UEFA Nations League.
Tijani Reynders gave the Netherlands an early lead in the second minute of the match.
The goal was the fastest Germany has conceded after one minute and 39 seconds in all competitions since the 1974 World Cup final, also against the Netherlands, in which Germany won the world title at the expense of the Windmills.
The German team succeeded in returning to the game before the end of the first half, as Dennis Ondaf managed to equalize in the 38th minute, before Joshua Kimmich added the second goal in the 45th minute +3, to end the first half with the visitors’ lead.
In the second half, the Dutch team managed to equalize through Denzel Dumfries in the 51st minute, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
With this result, the two teams shared the top spot in Group C, but the advantage remains with the Mannschaft, thanks to conceding only 2 goals compared to 4 against the Netherlands, after the two teams were equal in the number of goals scored 7 per team.
