Dozens of civilians killed and wounded in army air strikes on Al-Fula, West Kordofan

Al-Fula: Rhino – On Sunday, the army launched air strikes on residential neighborhoods in the city of Al-Fula in West Kordofan, using barrel bombs, killing and injuring dozens of civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.

The Rapid Support Forces condemned the attacks in a statement, describing them as a new horrific crime, which adds to the record of genocide, and as a treacherous aggression that comes within a series of repeated attacks that have targeted the cities of Bara, Al-Nahud, Al-Khuway, Al-Majlad, Al-Fula, and Abu Zabad, the latest of which targeted shelters for displaced persons in Abu Zabad, resulting in hundreds of casualties.

The statement reads: “These crimes constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a systematic targeting of civilians on ethnic and regional grounds, amounting to crimes against humanity.

We call on the international community and human rights organizations to take urgent action to hold those involved in these heinous criminal acts accountable, and we call on the people and legal authorities to prosecute the generals of Port Sudan and the leaders of the terrorist Islamic Movement.”

The statement added: “We, the Rapid Support Forces, affirm that we will continue to fight in defense of our people and their right to freedom and dignity until the gang of murderers and terrorists is overthrown and independent national decision-making is restored.”
