Khartoum: Raino – A source from the Rapid Support Forces told Raino on Saturday that they had notified the United Nations of the discovery of a chemical weapons cache in the city of Al-Khuway and protective equipment, noting that the Rapid Support Forces had requested that international experts be sent to verify the matter.
The US State Department announced last Thursday that the United States would impose new sanctions on Sudan after it was proven that its government used chemical weapons last year in the ongoing civil war against the Rapid Support Forces.
US exports to the country will be restricted and limits will be placed on financial borrowing starting June 6, according to a statement by State Department spokeswoman Tami Bruce.
